Polymer raw material

We distribute film, moulding and bottling grade polymer in prime and repro quality — by the 25 kg bag, the pallet or the full load. Natural, black, or colour matched to your masterbatch.

Which grade does what

A quick comparison before the detail. If you are matching an existing product, send us a sample or the current spec sheet and we will match the grade rather than guess.

LDPE resin: translucent pellets beside a roll of soft flexible film
Film grade

LDPE — low density polyethylene

The everyday film resin. Soft, flexible and clear with excellent heat-seal strength, which is why most of the bags we make start life as LDPE. Blends easily with LLDPE where extra puncture resistance is needed.

Melt flow index
0.3 – 2.0 g/10 min (film) · up to 20 for coating
Density
0.918 – 0.925 g/cm³
Forms
Prime virgin, food grade virgin, repro
Colours
Natural, black, or masterbatch matched

Best for: butcher bags, produce bags, bread bags, bin liners, shrink film, laminating film.

HDPE resin: opaque white pellets beside a moulded jerry can
Film & moulding

HDPE — high density polyethylene

Stiffer and stronger than LDPE at the same gauge, which means thinner, lighter bags that still carry the load — the reason vest carriers and bin liners are usually HDPE. In moulding grades it becomes drums, crates and containers.

Melt flow index
0.04 – 0.35 g/10 min (film) · 4 – 20 (moulding)
Density
0.941 – 0.965 g/cm³
Forms
Film, injection, blow moulding and pipe grades
Colours
Natural, black, white, full colour range

Best for: carrier bags, refuse bags, freezer bags, jerry cans, crates, industrial containers.

Polypropylene resin: glossy pellets beside a clear crystal bag and a moulded crate
Clarity & stiffness

Polypropylene

Where you need glass clarity, stiffness or heat resistance. Homopolymer for rigid, high-clarity work; copolymer where impact strength matters, particularly in the cold. Also the base for woven raffia sacks and BOPP film.

Melt flow index
1.5 – 12 (moulding) · 2 – 4 (film)
Density
0.895 – 0.910 g/cm³
Types
Homopolymer, block & random copolymer, raffia
Colours
Natural clear, black, colour matched

Best for: crystal-clear bags, crates, closures, housewares, woven bags, hot-fill applications.

Moulding grade resin: coloured granules beside an injection moulded bucket
Injection & blow

Moulding grade

High melt flow polymer that fills a cavity fast and releases clean — the grade to ask for when your cycle time and part finish matter more than film properties. Supplied in PE and PP, in general purpose and impact-modified versions.

Melt flow index
4 – 40 g/10 min depending on part geometry
Options
General purpose, high impact, UV stabilised, anti-static
Forms
Natural pellet plus masterbatch, or pre-coloured compound
Colours
Any — matched to a Pantone or a physical sample

Best for: buckets, crates, bins, caps, housings, garden furniture, toys.

Bottling grade resin: clear pellets and preforms beside a blow moulded bottle
Food contact

Bottling grade

Resin selected for blow moulding and preform work — consistent clarity, good environmental stress crack resistance and food contact compliance. Available in the grades used for water, dairy, juice, detergent and chemical packaging.

Processes
Extrusion blow, injection stretch blow, preform injection
Key properties
ESCR, clarity, top-load strength, low taint
Compliance
Food contact grades with supporting documentation
Colours
Clear, opaque white, and tinted to spec

Best for: bottles, jars, jerry cans, dairy containers, closures and preforms.

Colour

Natural, black, or matched to your brand

Material ships natural or black off the shelf. Anything else is achieved with masterbatch dosed at the machine, or supplied pre-compounded when colour consistency across a long run is critical. Send a Pantone reference or a physical sample and we will match it.

A note on colour: screen colours are indicative only. Repro (recycled) material carries a base tint that limits how light a colour can go — pale shades usually need virgin resin. We will tell you upfront which is achievable in your grade and budget.
